Frequently Asked Questions
TATTOO STYLE + HEALING
-
I mostly do fine line tattoos, very delicate in nature. My style is very illustrative realistic, so very similar to vintage scientific illustrations. I tend to get bored easily so my style varies from minimal, detailed black and grey, full illustrative color.
-
All tattoos fade to a certain degree since our body is processing the pigment over the years. Repeat sun exposure, especially sunburns, makes the skin need to heal the irritation, it also eats away at the pigment. Since fine line naturally have less pigment than bolder tattoos, SPF is a must to protect the details and keep the pigment from breaking down.
-
Definitely, but keep in mind each touch up adds more pigment, making the lines thicker once it settles. I offer a complimentary touch up within the first year. Any following touch ups will be a $40 service charge.
-
Depending on the placement, working out could cause friction or get sweaty which could affect the healing. Its atleast two weeks for the tattoo to fully heal and be able to get sun, wear sunscreen or go swimming.
BOOKING + DESIGN PROCESS
-
On my booking form on my website, fill out your idea, placement, and references. I’ll review it and get back to you with availability and pricing!
-
I’ll use your ideas and references to create a custom design that flows with my style. I specialize in fine line and illustrative realism. Definitely sending any references of what you love about each photo and even what you wouldn’t like included gives me a clear vision! If you are unsure of any part of the process, I also offer free consultations!
-
Designs are shown the day of your appointment, but I always plan for more than enough time to make any changes. I usually come up with more than one option depending on the design. I aim to keep it super stress-free and collaborative!
-
It’s on your body for life so definitely you have to be more than sure that you love it. I always plan enough time in each appointment for small changes and depending on the design I will draw up a couple options to look thru. Especially for small tattoos, it is easy to shift gears and adjust during the appointment if time allows. For larger pieces, if its more than a couple changes or a completely different concept than was initially discussed, it will require rescheduling with a new deposit to ensure there is enough time to design and tattoo. I always offer free consultations to discuss before booking your appointment!
-
As soon as my books open! I only book a month in advance, so the first of each month opens up the following month. Weekends are usually the first to be booked up!
-
Pricing depends on size, detail and placement. My minimum starts at $200 and goes up from there. Typically getting additional tattoos are discounted as a bundle and matching tattoos. You’ll get a range before booking!
-
Yep! A deposit is required to hold your appointment and it’ll toward your total balance. If you do not cancel, reschedule or are more than 20 minutes late, you will lose your deposit.
-
At least 48 hours´ notice is required to reschedule or cancel. No-shows, being more than 20 minutes late or late cancellations forfeit the deposit. Emergencies happen - just communicate with me!
-
I accept cash, Zelle, Venmo and PayPal. At the studio we have a card reader as well but it charges a 4% convenience fee.
